Inspiration:

Survivor Posters™ came about because of one person, a dear friend who told me of her breast cancer diagnosis about a year ago. I wanted to do something (anything!) to be supportive, but due to long distance, knew that just “being there” wasn’t going to be an option. So, as graphic designer, I sat down at my beloved Mac one day and developed a Survivor Poster. I’m not entirely sure where it all came from (the Martians? the Divine Power? God?), but I’m sure glad it found me!

I’ve come to refer to my friend Lori as the “grain of sand in my pearl” because she has been the genesis of some really important things in my life. My hope is to honor her and her recovery and “do well by doing good.”

Gratitude:

For the choices and sometimes difficult decisions I’ve made that have shaped who I am and where I am.

For all the exceptional human beings in my life now and previously with an astounding array of creative forces and critical thinking facility. They have touched my life in so many ways large and small and I am humbled by their brilliance and insight.

And for Sara, without whom I would not experience the world in the way that I do and hope to forever.
